Engagement

A contract engagement with SEGA Europe in London, from May 2014 to August 2016, providing full-stack development for several of the publisher’s gaming websites.

Approach

The work spanned SEGA’s public-facing sites, including sega.com and totalwar.com among others, covering both content management and the web application layer that sits in front of it. Alongside the CMS and frontend work, the engagement included authentication API integration, connecting these properties into SEGA’s broader identity systems.

Stack

Full-stack web development across CMS-driven marketing sites and authentication API integration, for a publisher operating multiple high-traffic gaming brands in parallel.

Outcome

Over two years supporting production websites for one of the world’s leading game publishers, across more than one brand at once — full-stack work where content management, frontend delivery and authentication all had to work together reliably. This reflects the same combination of frontend and backend work we still do today, just for a different industry.
